Deactivate Account brings a controlled, moderator-approved account closure flow to XenForo 2.2+ and is fully compatible with XenForo 2.3.x, including 2.3.9.

Instead of allowing immediate self-deactivation, the add-on gives members a dedicated Deactivate Account page inside account settings where they can submit a request. Moderators then review that request through the XenForo approval queue, keeping the process structured, auditable, and consistent with existing moderation workflows.

Once approved, the account is deactivated, the user can no longer log in, and the profile and core public content are hidden from public view. The add-on is designed to feel native to XenForo, using its templates, phrases, routes, and approval systems for straightforward customization and integration.
