Hello,
With the launch of our new platform, we're looking to build a strong moderation team! If you’re passionate about managing online communities, ensuring forums remain free from unwanted content, and enjoy engaging with people, now is the perfect time to apply for the role of Forum Moderator!
Requirements
- Fluent in English writing and communication.
- At least 18 years old.
- A good understanding of online community dynamics and forum etiquette.
- Experience with forum moderation tools (XenForo experience is a plus).
- Availability to dedicate regular time for moderation duties.
- Ability to handle conflicts calmly and professionally.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- A genuine interest in the community's topics and goals.
- Willingness to work as part of a team and follow guidelines.
- A respectful and welcoming attitude toward community members.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a moderator or admin in an online community.
- Familiarity with XenForo or similar forum software.
- Knowledge of community management principles or relevant certifications.
- Basic understanding of online safety, privacy, and anti-harassment practices.
- Skills in conflict resolution or customer service.
- Basic technical knowledge (e.g., troubleshooting forum-related issues).
- Familiarity with the topics or niche of the community.
- Multilingual abilities (if applicable to your community’s user base).
- An eye for detail to identify and address inappropriate content effectively.
